Born in Buffalo (1981) and raised in Rochester, Steve returned to Buffalo in 1999. After buying a cheap bass on a whim he began his musical education. In 2000 he played with the rock band "Jackson Down" (the brainchild of him and Fred Ullrich). A year or so of practices and one show ensued until he left the band and decided to drop music in general for academic endeavors. During the summer of 2003 he immersed himself as a spectator in the New York City anti-folk scene and learned a whole lot about how music is made. He joined "From Beyond" in March 2004 after some time spent living in Spain. The development of his personal bass style has fused with the songwriting of Nick Carciopolo and Brian Platter to round out "From Beyond"s sound. He presently is studying for a Ph'D of Spanish Literature at the University at Buffalo and spend his free time following his other love: Music. Influences include: The Smiths, The Clash, The Who, Victor Wooten, Bootsy Collins, Rage Against The Machine, Dillinger Escape Plan, From Autumn to Ashes, Iron Maiden, and Miles Davis.
